Our data center Maxil Communications, a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Cable Bahamas Limited, is a world class data center focusing on offshore/onshore co-location. We offer high-speed connectivity into the Americas at up to OC-48 speeds for offshore clients and up to 1GB for onshore clients (clients within the Bahamas). Our data center provides a secure, reliable environment that your eBusiness technology infrastructure counts on, with 24/7 availability. Our Nassau data center provides 3,600 sq. ft. of data center space.

Co-location

Customer-secured rack space is available in 1/3 cabinet space (13u), 1/2 cabinet (20u) space and full cabinet space (42u). All cabinets are supplied with fully redundant 20 amp power feeds and multiple Ethernet (10 mbit, 100 mbit and 1000 mbit) Internet connections. Caged co-location space, as well as raw floor space, is also available.

Connectivity

Customers can utilize high-speed REVON Enterprise Fiber Internet connectivity and/or a dedicated REVON Enterprise Fiber local loop link to their premises. Our data center has fully redundant Ethernet connectivity directly to Cable Bahamas’ Internet backbone.

Managed Services

Maxil’s management services are designed to provide the customer with the physical equipment support required daily. From swapping out failed components, to active monitoring, to changing backup tapes. Maxil is here to help ensure the smooth operation of the client systems.

Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Services

With continuity three services above, our clients have already implemented successful disaster recovery/business recovery solutions. Clients of Maxil have also successfully implemented AS400 DR / BC solutions utilizing the current AS400 within the data center. Comprehensive testing with full REVON Enterprise Fiber connectivity has allowed clients to link to our AS400 and/or their gear in their rack, and run their complete operations from the data center.

Facilities

Maxil has redundant power, cooling, fire and security systems. To gain access, the client has three(3) levels of security: gate access, building access and door access utilizing smart cards, as well as camera surveillance authentication and biometric readers. Our facility operates 24/7/365. As our data center is housed on campus, we have direct in-house fiber links to the Cable Bahamas Limited’ Internet backbone.
