Our data center, Maxil Communications, a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Cable Bahamas, is a carrier neutral data center focusing on offshore/onshore co-location. We offer high speed connectivity into the Americas at up to OC-48 speeds for offshore clients and up to 1GB for on shore clients(clients within The Bahamas). Co-location: Customer secured rackspace is available in 1/3 cabinet space (13u), 1/2cabinet(20u) space, and full cabinet space (42u). All cabinets are supplied with fully redundant 20 amp power feeds and multiple Ethernet (10mbit, 100mbit and 1000mbit) Internet connections. Caged co-location space as well as raw floor spaceis also available.

Connectivity: Customer can utilize high speed Axel Internet connectivity and/or a dedicated Axel fiberlocal loop back to their premises. Our data center has fully redundant Ethernet connectivity directly to Cable Bahamas'Internet backbone.

Managed Services: Maxil's management services are designed to provide the customer with the physical equipment support required day in and day out. From swapping out failed components, to active monitoring, to changing backup tapes, Maxil is here to help ensure the smooth operation of the client systems.

Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Services: With the three services above, our clientshave already implemented successful disaster recovery/business recovery solutions. Clients of Maxil have also successfully implemented AS400DR/BC solutions utilizing the current AS400 within the data center. Comprehensive testing with full Axel fiber connectivity have allowed clients to link to our AS400 andrun their complete operations from the data center.

Facilities: Maxil has redundant power, cooling, fire, and security systems. Just to gain access, the client has 3 levels of security: gate access, building access and door access utilizing smart cards, camera surveillance authentication, as well as biometric readers. Our facility operates 24/7/365. As our data center is housed on campus, we have direct fiber links to the Cable Bahamas Internet backbone.
