Why is my cable service billed in advance?
With your cable service, you pay for your current billing period at the beginning of that period. It’s just like when you pay rent or magazine subscriptions in advance.
What is a prorate or partial month?
A partial month service is a service charge or credit for a period of time less than one month. For example, if your regular billing cycle is from the 1st to the 30th of the month and you change your service on the 15th of the month, you will see a partial month service charge from the 15th to the 30th.
When is my bill due?
Your cable bill is due on the 20th of each month. This date is listed on your cable bill each month. Be sure your payment reaches us by the due date via any of our convenient PayStations.
What is a late charge?
A late charge may be incurred if your payment is not received by the end of the grace period, which is typically ten days after your due date, or the end of the month.
Why do you charge a late fee?
The vast majority of Cable Bahamas Limited' customers pay their accounts on time every month. The extra costs incurred by Cable Bahamas Limited due to late payments (interest expense, uncollectable accounts, NSF cheques, accounting staff) should not be paid by our customers in good standing. The $5 late fee is intended to relieve these costs in a way that only affect the subscribers that are late in paying their bill, and to encourage subscribers to pay on time.
Why is my payment not reflected on my current bill?
If a payment is received after we process your next month's bill, it may not show on your current statement; but will appear on the following month’s statement.
Without cancelled cheques, how can I prove I made my payments?
An itemised list of automatic payments will appear on your bank statement. This can be used as your proof of payment.
What if I try (PAC) payment and don't like it?
You can cancel your authorisation for Pre-Authorised Chequing payments at any time by notifying Cable Bahamas in writing.
How do I sign up for Pre-Authorised Chequing (PAC)?
You can contact our Credit & Collections or Customer Care Departments in order to sign up for this service which becomes active on the next billing cycle.
