Maxwell Parsons (CA) is the Chief Financial Officer of Columbus International Inc. and its affiliates, including Columbus Communications Ltd. Mr. Parsons has over 20 years of corporate executive experience including seven years as the Chief Financial Officer of two public companies. He was Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Vector Aerospace Corporation until November 2003. Vector is a public company traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange with annual revenues in excess of $300 million. It provides repair and overhaul services to helicopter and airplane operators through locations in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. In 1998, he was a key member of the team that successfully completed the Initial Public Offering of Vector. Subsequent to the IPO he played a key role in all major strategic and operational initiatives including the financing of significant acquisitions. He organized the infrastructure necessary to operate as a public company including the implementation of all necessary policies and procedures.
At the time of Vector's IPO, Mr. Parsons was the Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of CHC Helicopter Corporation, also a publicly traded company, which is currently the world's largest helicopter operator. During Mr. Parsons' tenure, CHC was involved in both providing helicopter operating and repair and overhaul services and Mr. Parsons played a key role in segregating the repair and overhaul business to form Vector Aerospace. Prior to joining CHC in 1994, Mr. Parsons held progressively senior finance and administration positions with the Irving Group of Companies (a privately held conglomerate with interests in oil, transportation, forestry products and communications) and Newfoundland Capital Corporation (a publicly traded company which had interests at the time in transportation, printing and publishing and radio broadcasting). |
