Why does the security deposit increase if my cable service has been disconnected three times?
Subscribers that are disconnected for non-payment more than three times pose a higher risk of leaving an unpaid balance on their account if they choose not to renew their service. Currently, the average balance left owing on the account of a disconnected subscriber is over $60 even after the security deposit is applied to their account.
Why am I charged for Pay-Per-View movies?
When you press select and enter at anytime during a movie on the PPV Channels your bill is automatically charged. You should protect this feature and avoid unwanted purchases by putting on a PPV password to lock out unauthorized purchases.
Why is my cable service billed in advance?
With your cable service, you pay for your current billing period at the beginning of that period. It’s just like when you pay rent or magazine subscriptions in advance.
I am moving. I need to disconnect my cable service and I am closing my bank account. How will I pay my bill?
Equipment charges, if applicable, and any monies due after you disconnect will be put on a regular bill and sent via mail for you to pay by check, cash, or credit card.
What is a prorate or partial month?
A partial month service is a service charge or credit for a period of time less than one month. For example: If your regular billing cycle is from the 1st to the 30th of the month, and you change your service on the 15th of the month, you will see a partial month service charge from the 15th to the 30th.
When is my bill due?
Your cable bill is due on the 20th of each month. This date is listed on your cable bill each month. Be sure your payment reaches us by the due date at any of our convenient PayStations.
What is a late charge?
A late charge may be incurred if your payment is not received by the end of the grace period, which is typically ten days after your due date, or the end of the month.
Why do you charge a late fee?
The vast majority of Cable Bahamas' customers pay their accounts on time every month. The extra costs incurred by Cable Bahamas due to late payments (interest expense, uncollectable accounts, NSF cheques, accounting staff) should not be paid by our customers in good standing. The $5 late fee is intended to relieve these costs, which only affect the subscribers that are late in paying their bill, and to encourage subscribers to pay on time.
Why is my payment not reflected on my current bill?
If a payment is received after we process your next months bill it may not show on your current statement, but will appear on the following month’s statement.
