Online Assistant is a Computer Support Service that enables a CoralWave Support Technician to address software related-problems remotely. This service allows you the flexibility of addressing most software issues without leaving your home, and increases the number of hours that our technicians can support you from a few hours as they do now, to 24 hours each day.

Through the use of our special remote control computer program, a CoralWave Technician would establish a secure remote connection between their computer in our Technical Support Centre and your computer at home. Hence, the only person who is able to see your computer is the technician working on it at that moment. Once a connection is made, the technician can apply most software updates or upgrades to your computer as though they were physically at your premises.

• Periodically apply Internet Browser patches from the various browser developers.
  
• Periodically apply system patches from Microsoft when published.
  
• Clean computer(s) of viruses, worms, Trojan horses and other like infections when they occur.
  
• Periodically clean system of temporary Internet files cookies, spyware, adware, etc.
  
• Reinstall or reconfigure Browser, Internet client software or system device drivers on an as required basis.
• Provide advice on good computer upkeep practices, and provide assistance with such activities as disk management and disk cleanup.
