Thank you for choosing Coralwave! The premier Bahamian Internet Service
Provider! Your Coralwave Internet experience is very important to us, and our team is
working 24x7 to provide the highest level of service to our valued subscribers.
The speed test sites below can be used to benchmark your Internet service
performance.
How do I conduct a successful speed test?
1. To test your performance we recommend connecting your computer
directly to your cable modem, bypassing any networking equipment
(wireless hubs, firewalls, gateways). With this configuration your computer should
have a publicly accessible Internet address.
2. Test your performance from various sites. There are two test sites that we
recommend for Coralwave. The Coralwave Toast Server and the Speakeasy.net
Speed Test site:
-
The Coralwave Toast Server is an on-net speed test server that
can help determine your local network performance.
- The
Speakeasy.net speed test is a third party test server for off-net speed
performance. It has several geographic locations to test from. Tests
from all sites should be used in verifying your overall performance.
3. Several factors can affect your results:
-
Optimal PC Health with current anti-virus software.
- Connectivity to your cable modem (wireless, LAN, etc).
- Internet traffic patterns.
- Time of day.
- Test server load.
For consistent results, please test your
connection several times over 24-hours from multiple sites. Performance
results of 70% to 80% of your service level are reasonable expectations.
Results consistently below 50% of your service level could indicate a
problem affecting your service. We recommend opening a ticket with our
expert support staff. Coralwave support is available 24 hours a day via
e-mail at iss@coralwave.com or by telephone at (242) 356-8900 or toll-free at 1 (242) 300-8900.
4. When submitting speed test results to iss@coralwave.com,
please take screenshots and attach them to the email. To perform a
screenshot, press the Alt and Print Screen (usually located at the
top-right of your keyboard) buttons together on your keyboard. Then,
open Word Pad and paste your screenshot into the document. Finally,
attach the saved document to your email with the subject "Speed Test Results".
