Please be advised that there are several individuals and local businesses collecting payments on behalf of Cable Bahamas Ltd without the company’s authorization.

REV wishes to inform all of its subscribers that Cash n’ Go and participating banks listed on the company’s website are the only companies contracted to collect payments on behalf of Cable Bahamas. Customers that choose to utilize unauthorized payment centers are advised that they do so at their own risk.

6:27am: There is a reported outage affecting East Grand Bahama. The technical team has been advised to investigate.

7:44am: Please be advised that BPL is currently investigating reports of commercial failure in East End Grand Bahama. Updates will follow.

11:00am: All services in East End Grand Bahama have been restored. The technical team will continue to closely monitor the situation.

1:00pm: The technical team is en route to Balao Road to investigate. Updates will be posted once available.

12:45pm: Please be advised that there is a power outage affecting the following areas:

Hanna Hill
Homes Rock
Lewis Yard
Queens Highway
Russell Town (Eight Mile Town)

Hence, REV services in these areas may be affected. Estimated time of restoration is not yet available. We will continue to post updates.

3:44pm: Power has been restored to the above areas.

12:38pm: There is a reported complete service outage in the East End, Grand Bahama. There was a utility power outage in the node areas earlier this morning. However, the power has since been restored. The technical team will be running an investigation. Updates will be posted as they become available.

1:24pm: All services affected by the outage in East End, Grand Bahama are now restored.

4:13pm: East End Area is showing down once again. Investigation will be performed.

5:50pm: Outage is due to a commercial power outage, which has been restored.

10:15am: Please be advised that there is a complete service outage in Jollyrodger Rd in Freeport due to a fibre fault in which the technical team is currently investigating. There is no estimated time of restoration reported as yet but updates will be posted as they become available.

11:09am: Services affected by the outage in Jollyrodger Rd have been restored.

7:34am: Please be advised that there is a commercial power failure affecting REV services in Club Fortuna, Doubloon Road and Main Street. GBPL reports that failure is due to a blown transformer. The technical team is en route to investigate.

11:53am: REV services in Club Fortuna and Doubloon Road have been restored. Main Street remains to be investigated. More updates to follow.

Cable Bahamas Ltd. announced today the appointment of Franklyn A. Butler II as its new CEO. Franklyn has served on the Board of the Company since 2011 and was appointed Executive Vice Chairman in June 2017. Franklyn holds the following positions currently: Chairman of AML Foods Limited; Chairman of Aliv ; Director of APD Limited and Chairman of the Milo Butler Group.

Effective April 23rd, REV television subscribers are advised that the Prime package channels TNT, channel 450, Cartoon Network, channel 301, and TBS, channel 225, will be replaced with TNT International, Cartoon Network International and TBS International, respectively.

Entertainment TV, a new channel to the REV lineup will be added to channel 454 to replace TNTI, which is moving to the Prime package.

NBC Universal Removes Oxygen Channel From the Region

REV disappointed that NBC Universal could not continue to extend rights to the region”

REV television subscribers are advised that effective February 28th, 2018, NBC Universal Entertainment Group, a division of NBC Universal will cease carriage of the Oxygen network to the region.

John Gomez, REV COO advised that the company has carried the digital network from 2005. “We continue in our efforts to offer the best available content for our television subscribers. However, as a result of these changes in rights and licensing agreements, no cable operator in the region will be able to offer the Oxygen Channel to their subscribers.” read more
