Cable Bahamas has partnered with American media conglomerate Turner Broadcasting System to make television viewing a little more enjoyable for five households. Through its Crossbones-REVTV HD/Prime Select Promotion, the companies rewarded five customers, and fans of the hit television series “Crossbones,” with all-new high-definition televisions during the month of October.

REVTV subscribers in Nassau, Grand Bahama, Eleuthera and Abaco who signed up for Prime Select with REVTV HD during the promotional period – between August 20 and October 31 – were given a chance to win a brand new 42-inch LG high-definition television, along with “Crossbones” merchandise. In the end, Perry Swan, Monica Toote, Franco Adams, Karen Ingraham and Tavari Dorsett were the five lucky winners selected through weekly random drawings.

Cable Bahamas REVTV Product Manager Teneile Simmons said customer response to the campaign was overwhelmingly positive. “The promotion was very well received. We’ve got some intense Crossbones fans out there that couldn’t wait for a chance to show their love for one of their favourite shows,” Ms Simmons said. “We’ve seen the response we were looking for with increased interest in our Prime Select and REVTV HD products.”

The Crossbones-REVTV HD/Prime Select promotion builds on our continued collaboration between Cable Bahamas and Turner and, according to Ms Simmons, it has proven to be a great pairing. Ms Simmons said that Cable Bahamas is always thrilled to partner with media corporations, television networks and production companies because these relationships offer a unique opportunity to bring REVTV subscribers closer to their favourite shows and movies through exciting and innovative campaigns.

“It’s a huge advantage to partner with different networks and studios. It gives us an opportunity to bridge a connection between customers and the programming they love,” Ms Simmons said. “Just knowing that I can possibly meet an actor in my favorite show or win some cool gifts from that show, that’s a value you can’t really put a price on. Being a part of the REVTV family, our customers are able to access that through our partnerships.”

Cable Bahamas currently delivers cable TV services to more than 99 per cent of the population in The Bahamas via 26 cable and broadcast systems across 23 islands.
