Cable Bahamas Ltd. announced today the appointment of Franklyn A. Butler II as its new CEO. Franklyn has served on the Board of the Company since 2011 and was appointed Executive Vice Chairman in June 2017. Franklyn holds the following positions currently: Chairman of AML Foods Limited; Chairman of Aliv ; Director of APD Limited and Chairman of the Milo Butler Group.
Cable Bahamas Ltd. announced today that after almost twenty years with Cable Bahamas Ltd (CBL), Mr. Anthony (Tony) Butler will retire from his post as CEO and President of the Company effective June 30, 2018.
Executives from the communications company, confirmed that popular urban channel TV One, will launch to REV television subscribers on March 1st. “This is part of our ongoing efforts to secure popular content, shared David Burrows, VP Marketing.
“REVGO Play gives customers the freedom to watch live and recorded shows and movies on the go.”
REV customers will have much to smile about this Christmas, with the launch of REV’s new TV everywhere app, REVGO Play on December 13th. The app gives REV television customers the freedom to watch their favourite channels live or record them to the cloud, free on any device.
Offered at no extra cost to REV customers, REVGO Play delivers up to 50 live TV channels, and 12 local radio stations in its initial launch. The app also gives customers the option to record a total of twenty hours of programming from up to 31 available network digital video recorder (nDVR).
Starting this month, REV commercial services will offer REV Business in a Box (BIAB) with affordable Voice, Data, TV and advertising packages, providing high value for spend to improve operational efficiencies. These solutions have major application for businesses wanting to grow brand awareness while increasing productivity without compromising quality of service and meeting more stringent financial requirements.
With close to eighty-four children living with HIV/AIDS in The Bahamas, at a cost of approximately $2,000 per child, Lady Camille Barnett, President of The Bahamas AIDS Foundation shared that, “It’s expensive to fund these kinds of programs. Some persons may become immune to the medication provided over time and require a different kind of drug. We have been so fortunate to have corporate partners like REV who have been critical to this process.”
REV employees represented the communications company last weekend at the seventh annual Grand Bahama Hope Ball at the Grand Lucayan Resort. Director Northern Bahamas Operations, Edris Wilson shared, “As a company, we have been personally touched by the effects of cancer, having lost members of our team and those friends and family members near and dear to us. We honour and celebrate them all, especially our survivors and we stand with our community in doing the same.”
