Davette Lightbourne Appointed Finance Manager at NewCo 2015 Limited

NewCo2015 Limited (NewCo), The Bahamas’ newest mobile network, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Davette Lightbourne as the manager of finance. In her role as manager of the finance team, she is responsible for funds management, financial analysis, budget management, operational performance and cost reduction analysis.

“NewCo is excited to have Mrs. Lightbourne join our team. She has a proven ability to deliver results to the highest standard. Davette’s experience in the banking, insurance, energy and utilities sector has given her the knowledge and work ethic that will ensure her success in this position. It must also be noted, that she has expertise in the financial assessment of large international projects. This background will assist her as the business expands and changes. Mrs. Lightbourne’s commitment to excellence and insight into the intricacies of finance will be heavily relied upon as we continue to build our company,” said Mr. Franklyn Butler, Chairman at NewCo2015 Limited. “We remain fully committed to employing qualified Bahamians and will engage many more the closer we are to launch.”


NewCo is the venture established to make The Bahamas’ newest mobile network a reality. NewCo is 48.25 per cent owned by CBL and 51.75 per cent owned by HoldingCo, a Bahamian Government owned entity. NewCo will deliver a world-class, Bahamas-wide mobile network using LTE and HSPA+ technology and offer next generation innovative products and services to all Bahamians.

Davette Lightbourne is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Davette has spent seven years in public accounting and was most recently Audit Manager at Deloitte LLP in Florida. She recently returned to The Bahamas to be closer to family.
