1995
We completed a $30 million public equity raise, welcoming over 3,000 Bahamian shareholders into ownership. This milestone marked the beginning of a publicly held, community-owned telecommunications provider.
2000
We launched broadband services powered by our wholly owned submarine fiber-optic cable system. By year-end, our subscriber base had grown by more than 750%, reaching 15,000 customers.
2011
We introduced REVOICE, becoming the first 100% Bahamian-owned triple-play provider to offer voice, data, and cable services nationwide.
2012
We also launched our new VOD service with REVTV, further transforming television entertainment in The Bahamas.
2013
We expanded internationally with the acquisition of four Florida-based telecommunications companies.access to new markets and diversified our revenue streams.
2016
Cable Bahamas was awarded the second mobile license in The Bahamas and officially introduced ALIV, marking a groundbreaking moment in the nation’s mobile market.
2020
In the face of global COVID-19 challenges, Cable Bahamas continued to deliver uninterrupted service and demonstrate exceptional resilience. That year, ALIV earned its first Ookla Speedtest Award for Fastest Mobile Network in The Bahamas.
2021
We received Ookla Speedtest Awards for both Fastest Mobile Network and Fastest Fixed Network (REV) in The Bahamas.
2022
We rolled out ALIVFibr across communities nationwide while earning our second Ookla Speedtest Award for Fastest Mobile Network in The Bahamas.
2023
We were recognized by Ookla once again, earning awards for Fastest Mobile Network and Best Mobile Gaming Experience.
2024
ALIVFibr passed 90,000+ homes, bringing reliable fiber connectivity to more families and continuing our mission to connect The Bahamas, one home at a time.
2025
Celebrating our 30th anniversary, we earned five Ookla Speedtest Awards, including Fastest Fiber Network in the Caribbean and Best Mobile Network in The Bahamas. We also began our ALIVFibr expansion to Abaco, making it the first Family Island to receive ALIVFibr service.
